Day Heisinger-Nixon is a nonbinary & disabled poet, essayist, interpreter, and translator. Raised in an ASL-English bilingual home in Fresno, California, Day holds an MA in Deaf Studies from Gallaudet University, and is a current MFA candidate in Creative Writing at New England College. Their work has been published or is forthcoming in Boston Review, Apogee, Booth, and elsewhere. They live in Los Angeles.
